Free Mortgage & Real Estate Calculators for Your Website
Give your readers a calculator that answers the question they came with, without building or maintaining one. Pick a calculator, paste one snippet, and it appears on your page, kept up to date from here.
Four calculators, ready to embed
Each one runs on the same calculation engine as this site, so a figure in your embed matches the figure here.
Mortgage Calculator
Estimate the monthly principal, interest, taxes, insurance and related costs of a home loan.
- Monthly payment, itemised
- Property tax, insurance, PMI and HOA
- Amortization schedule
Property Tax Calculator
Estimate property tax from a state's average rate or, for supported counties, the county's own rate.
- Yearly and monthly property tax
- State average or 30 large counties
- Share of a typical payment
Refinance Calculator
Compare a refinance against the current loan and estimate how the payment and total cost change.
- Break-even point
- Monthly saving
- Total cost over the life of the loan
Closing Cost Calculator
Estimate the common costs of closing on a home purchase, itemised by who is paid.
- Every closing-cost line item
- Which fees a buyer can shop for
- Cash needed to close
Embed the Mortgage Calculator
Choose whichever form suits your site. The first two use a small script that creates the frame and resizes it to fit; the third is a plain iframe with no script.
Script tag
One tag. The calculator appears where you put it.
Mortgage Calculator, script tag
<script
src="https://www.usmortgagecalc.com/embed.js"
data-widget="mortgage"
></script>Div and script
Place the div where the calculator should go and the script anywhere after it. Useful when your editor handles a div more gracefully than a script in the middle of a page.
Mortgage Calculator, div and script
<div data-usmc-calculator data-widget="mortgage"></div>
<script src="https://www.usmortgagecalc.com/embed.js" async></script>Plain iframe
For platforms that strip scripts. The height is a starting point for a column about 700 pixels wide or more; a narrower column needs it taller, which is why the script versions are preferred.
Mortgage Calculator, iframe
<iframe
src="https://www.usmortgagecalc.com/embed/mortgage-calculator"
title="Mortgage Calculator"
width="100%"
height="1100"
loading="lazy"
style="border:0;"
></iframe>Live preview
The real mortgage calculator, as it appears in your page.
Optional presets
Open the calculator already set up for your audience, such as a Texas agent's site opening on Texas. Add the attributes to the script tag or the div, or the matching query parameter to the iframe address.
| Attribute | iframe parameter | Works on | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
data-state | ?state= | Mortgage, property tax, closing cost | data-state="Texas" |
data-price | ?price= | Mortgage (with a state) | data-price="400000" |
data-rate | ?rate= | Mortgage | data-rate="6.5" |
State names are written out in full, as in Ohio or North Carolina. The refinance calculator takes no presets.
How it works
Step 1
Choose a calculator
Select the tool relevant to your audience.
Step 2
Copy the embed code
Paste the code into your website.
Step 3
Publish
The calculator loads from USMortgageCalc and remains maintained there.
Why publishers use it
Free to use
No fee, no account and no key.
Mobile-friendly
Responsive from phone widths to wide desktop columns.
Nothing to build
No calculator development, and no formulas for you to get wrong.
Maintained centrally
Corrections and improvements arrive without you changing anything.
Useful to readers
Home buyers and owners can work out their own numbers without leaving your page.
Lightweight
Each widget loads only its own calculator, around 100 to 140 KB of script.
Responsive
The frame resizes to its content, so there is no inner scrollbar or empty gap.
No advertising
There are no ads inside the embedded calculator.
Attribution
Every widget ends with a quiet line, Powered by USMortgageCalc, linking to usmortgagecalc.com. It is how the calculators stay free to offer, and we ask that you leave it in place. It is part of the calculator inside the frame, so it asks nothing of your own page, and we are not asking for a link, or any particular kind of link, from you.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. The calculators are free to put on your site, with no fee and nothing to sign up for.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to request. Paste the code and it works.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Each calculator is responsive and was checked from phone-width columns up to full desktop width. In a narrow column the form stacks into a single column and the frame grows taller, which the script versions handle automatically.
Does the calculator work in an iframe?
Yes. The calculators are built to run inside an iframe on another site. The script version creates the iframe for you and keeps its height matched to the content; the plain iframe version needs no script on your page at all.
Can I use it on a real estate or mortgage website?
Yes. Agents, brokers, publishers and housing sites are the intended audience. As with any content on your site, you are responsible for how it fits your own policies and any rules that apply to your business. The calculators give estimates, not loan offers.
Does the widget collect user data?
The widget sets no cookies and uses no localStorage or sessionStorage, runs no ads, and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Calculations happen in the visitor's browser, and the numbers a visitor types are not sent anywhere. Like any hosted resource, our servers do receive the ordinary request details (such as IP address) when the frame loads. The script also sends one anonymous message saying that a widget loaded; it contains no visitor data, and the server learns only which site's domain it was loaded from.
Will the calculator update automatically?
Yes. The widget is served from USMortgageCalc, so a correction or improvement made here reaches every site that embeds it without you changing anything.
Do I have to keep the attribution?
Please do. Each widget carries a small “Powered by USMortgageCalc” line linking to this site; it is the only thing we ask in return. The link sits inside the frame, so it is not a link from your page and does not require anything of your page's markup. We do not ask for, and make no promises about, any search benefit.

The embeds are the same tools as the full pages, which explain each one in depth. Method and sources are on the methodology page, and developers can find the technical reference in the embed documentation.
